I have been qualified for JEE ADVANCED and im OBC NCL but in the registration window they ask my NCL certificate issued after 1st april my NCL document was issued on November P.S How irresponsible govt. during april it was lockdown for 2-3 months and everyone who gave JAN MAINS ISSEUED IT BEFORE.

Anurag Khanna 15th Sep, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

As JEE-Advance applications for 2020 have been started and there are so many queries regarding caste certificate validity so let me clear you that if you belongs to OBC-NCL category then your category certificate should be issued on or after April 1st 2020 but if you don't have tha certificate for this date then you should have applied for it in month of June-July when lockdown was being uplifted and as you apply for that certificate you would get a declaration which you can upload on JEE-Advance portal instead of your certificate. Don't worry you are not late at all because still you can apply for your certificate and you will get a declaration which you can upload on jeeadv.ac.in

Shreya shrestha 12th Sep, 2020

Hello there, yes certification course will certainly benefit your career and help you land better jobs. A certification course will help you to give an upper hand from other candidates. Which means you will be having better chance to get the job. A certification will have a profound impact on your existing qualifications but certificate alone can't guarantee a job. It depends how you perform on the interview day. If you are lucky, one or two good answer related with vacancy for which you applied together with the answers for the certification course which you did wil help you to get the job.

Good luck!!

In 2020 expected cut off of NEET will increase or decrease ? 1) Students got more time in lockdown 2)Most of Students could not utilize extra time due to pandemic 3)No. of seats increased this year 4) Symptomatic aspirants will not be allowed to give exam

JAYA KARTHIKA RS 11th Sep, 2020

Dear aspirant,

This is one of the most trending questions regarding which the aspirants are worried. To be honest the exact cut-off of any exam can never be predicted before seeing the question paper. NEET Cutoff 2020 will vary on different factors as per the categories. The cutoff for NEET 2020 will depend upon how the exam will be conducted, how many aspirants will appear for the exam, difficulties level and many more. What I believe is that the cut-off will increase as compared to what it would have been if the NEET exam would have been conducted on time.  The reasons are as follows:-

  • NEET has been postponed for 19 weeks, this is a huge bonus specially for the current year aspirants. They must have studied hard. In 19 weeks, someone can really turn the things around.
  • I agree that most of the students have not utilized their time to the fullest. They have wasted time worrying about their future or may be on social media and gaming. But, remember one thing that this is a cut-throat competition in which every single marks matters. Even if 2-3 thousand aspirants would have studied properly then the cut-off will shoot rapidly because the seats are only about 14–15 thousand.
  • The students are mostly practicing a lot of questions, this would have boosted their confidence which will help them score better in the exam.

So I believe that the cut-off will surely increase as compared to what it would have been if NEET was conducted on time.

Hope this information helps you

Dear aspirant,

The minimum eligibility criteria for JAM exam is to score around 5.5 CGPA in your graduation. If you have cleared your backlog with the expected CGPA, well and good. I used to score really well(600+) in coaching classes but after lockdown my marks went down.I just want to know which books i can use for last 10 days of NEET? I want to revise.. plz suggest me books.. i found no one to help me at my hometown, plz help !

vishesh kumar 1st Sep, 2020

Hi,

I would like to answer your query. According to my opinion, since not much time is left, you may go for the previous year's questions as this will help you revise your concepts. And normally it is seen that every year there is a repetition of few questions over and over again. So try to grab as much questions as you can. Along with it, try to go for mock tests as well as formula sheets available on NTA Abhyas app.

Hope this will solve your query. Wish you a good luck!!

I am CAT 2020 aspirant .l have a question regarding undertaking form(for applicant who cant get NC-OBC duly signed due to lockdown) for category applicant. How old should be the NC-OBC certificate that we need to consolidate with undertaking form? please clarify my doubt.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 29th Aug, 2020

Your NC-OBC certificate is valid for 1 year. Ideally, this is the format that is ideally used for CAT application: https://cdn.digialm.com//per/g01/pub/756/ASM/WebPortal/17/PDF/NC-OBC_Certificate.pdf . But if your NC-OBC Certificate has expired, you can also use this Undertaking Certificate. https://cdn.digialm.com//per/g01/pub/756/ASM/WebPortal/17/PDF/UNDERTAKING_CAT_2020.pdf stating that you will produce the Certificate atleast by the time of Interview.

This year cut off rank for iiits snd Nits will be increases or not due to lockdown? please tell me sir?

ARYAN SAGAR 8th Oct, 2020
Dear student,

Every year there is a cutoff closing rank set by different nits or iiits, so that students can get admission only when they clear that particular cutoff rank.

Now every year the cut off Trends changes - it increases or decreases
But the cut off of these nits or iiits doesn't depend on this lockdown or some curfews etc.

Cut off for these colleges mainly depend on the following factors :-

  • The difficulty level of the examination.
  • Total number of candidates that appeared in JEE Mains.
  • The previous years cutoff Trends.
  • Number of seats available in in NIT or IIIts.

Based on these factors the cutoff are increased or decreased, so this lock down doesn't affect the cutoff, but if the number of candidate decreases then there is chance that cutoff closing ranks will rise up a little.

So, check out the previous year cut off for some of the top nits. :-
