A general rank of 277 and 235 are not very bad ranks. If not in the first round of counselling, you might have high chances of getting admission in Banaras Hindu University with Masters in Psychology in the second or third round of counselling. Just keep an eye on the official website of the university for any relevant and necessary information regarding admissions.

You cannot submit your improvement marks in the keam rank allocation. The marks you have submitted in the beginning of the exam will only be considered in the allocation of your rank for the keam. But you don't need to worry about it as only certain percentage of your HSE score will only be added and maximum of you keam marks will only be considered in allocations of ranks. So, doing better in keam will help you in acheving the good rank.

The cut-offs for MA sociology in Punjab University through PUCET have not come yet officially. The expected date for the announcement of cutoff is from 29 th June 2019 to July 1 2019. For the year 2018 cutoffs were 20% of total marks for the unreserved category and for SC/ST/PWD/BC it was 15% of total marks.
