Dear Ken, The syllabus for any PG Entrance exam will be the syllabus of the respective undergraduate course. They will test your knowledge on the English language. Your ST rank of 21 is a very good rank and it is likely for you to get a seat in Banaras Hindu University. You have good chances of getting admission in BHU for MA in Sociology, if not in the first round of counselling, then surely in the second or third. As per my knowledge RIT kottayam is comparatively better as The placement record for RIT colleges are above average and some reputed software giants also visit this campus. Those willing to learn something out of the box will get opportunity here, as most of the branches have good faculty and have well equipped labs and innovation centres.
