Hello there, you may  get college in Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology Gorakhpur. You can get branches like Electrical, Mechanical or chemical. But I would like to tell you that you can get other branches also. We can only predict. The counselling depends on opening and closing ranks and goes on subsequently till the seats are filled. If you score is > 235 then you would almost confirm a seat depending on last two year scenario. All the best..

MMMUT used to be one of the top 3 colleges under the UPTU(UPSEE) exam. It was regarded as the best college for core branches especially Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. As per the alumni network, the university was able to provide good placement to core branch students. Most of the students graduated from this univeristy go for further studies. The placement now are not too great, most of the students plan for higher studies. If you don't expect a placement rather you are sure about higher studies, then no doubt you may go for this Institute.

The university consists its own exam, based on which your rank is generated.

Speaking about college, the campus is big enough but not developed enough. There are canteens, stadiums(grounds), hostel facility is ok, auditoriums, Libraries, hospitals, placements are fair, average package being 3.5 Lakh.

Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology,Gorakhpur takes admission on the following basis:

1.90% of total intake in each branch through online counseling of MET-2109 eligible candidates.

2.10% of total intake in each branch through online counseling of Jee Mains qualified students having passed the qualifying exam from UP or parents having UP domicile.

So mmmut doesn't take admission on the basis of uptu.

It may be an irony that UP West having so much growing and big cities didn’t have any Govt. Engineering college earlier.

Rajkiya Engineering College, Bijnor is earlier known as Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Engineering College Of Information Technology was established in 2009. Its campus has been shifted to Chandpur, Bijnor in 2015. The college still faces scarcity of resources due to govt negligence and improper administration.

• Till Nov 2017, the college did,t have any permanent faculty. Students were taught only by guest faculties which seemed incapable.
• No sports activity due to lack of playground.
• Location of college is far away from the city.
• Only limited no of books is available in the library.
• Lab equipment is either faulty or in bad conditions.
• No college placements.

But still, the scenario is changing from the last few months.

• Permanent and efficient faculties have been allotted from Nov 2017.
• They are trying for the betterment of the basic infrastructure of the college.
• WiFi is available in college and hostels and the speed is good enough.
• Libraries are getting extended in a while.
• Placement Cell has been reestablished and working hard for the placements.
• The start-up cell is being established.

Taste of mess food is universal. So must not be a concern.

“ First Govt College in UP West” might only be its sole recognition till now. Being optimistic, hoping for some reformation and availability of resources soon.

As per the previous year counselling of MMMUT, your rank is not good enough for admission in spot counselling round. Hence I can tell you that if your category rank for SC category is not under 500-600, then you cannot get a seat in that spot round of counselling. As it turned into a good government university so craze and value of it had increased in past days. Better try some other options or some other good colleges and proceed with your studies.

For spot rounds, the rankings drop by a 1000-1500 even after factoring in those variables, A general rank of 1500 is at minimum needed to get any stream which means a rank of 2500 at minimum is needed to get a seat. Which unfortunately isn't fullfilled in your case. So i'd suggest you to kindly not wait for spot rounds and work on a secondary back up admission plan to a different institute.

First of all Congratulating you on your nice performance and I would like to tell you that based on your rank in general category and considering the fact that you belong to Obc category it is very difficult for you to get core branches but still you may get civil engineering or chemical engineering and for that you need to wait till spot or special round counselling conducted at the end. I would also tell you that don't fully depend here, keep a backup ready.
