Hi aspirant, in my opinion and based on previous year trends, a rank usually under 400 is quite sufficient to get cse there. The cut-offs at MMMUT GORAKHPUR are generally very high especially for cse. So you need to score high and well.

MMMUT is always a good option.

With this rank it will be difficult for you to get admission in MMMUT Gorakhpur based on the previous year statistics although you can have a better chance in the spot-round of counselling as the number of seats have been increased by 25% from this academic year due to which you can have a better chance. The admission process in mmmut is done on the basis of rank. The students are called on the basis of rank. The students are given date according to their ranks and they are asked to report on a given date. The filling of seats will be done rank wise. If you fail to reach the counselling place, your admission will depend only if the seats are vacant

The spot round admissions completely depends on the number of vacant seats left after the completion of all rounds of counselling. Once the rounds get completed, the official data of number of vacant seats(which varies every year) will be released on the official website(so you are requested to keep checking the site for further details and process) and admissions on those seats will soon start.

If you are from general category then you can get CSE at MMMUT at a rank of around 470 in MET. If you are from OBC then a rank of 550 should be enough. Otherwise if you are from SC or ST then you should be able to get CSE at a rank of around 3200-3500. Although the number of seats have been increased therefore the data may vary this year. Assuming that you are asking cutoff for B.Tech(4-year course). The cutoff here at MMMUT varies with your branch. There is a total of 660 seats with 120 seats in each CSE, CE, EE, ECE and 60 in CHE as of 2018. A new branch of IT will be introduced this year(2019) having 60 seats, that will result in a total of 720 seats.

If you are able to fetch a general rank under 500 it is most likely that you can get any branch of your desired choice. In the year(2017) last GNOP rank to fill the seat was close to 2000.Also, there are various quota seats which can bear general rank up to 25000.

Admission norms are also changing from the upcoming year, as 10% of seats will be filled through JEE Mains examination while remaining 90% seats will be filled via university's own entrance examination, MET.
