I 10th passed from Maharashtra board and 11th 12th from karnataka board I belongs to SC cast certificate so in karnataka can I get home state kota

Shivani sunil kakde 23rd Oct, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

To take admission through home state quota you must have a domicile certificate of that state. A domicile certificate enables its holder to prove that he/she is a resident of the state either by birth or by having lived in that particular state for more than 15 years. The document enables the holder to avail of the domicile/resident quota extended by the state in education and jobs.

Even though you have passed your 10th from Maharashtra but if you have a domicile of karnataka you will be able to get admission in Karnataka through state quota.

Hope you got your answer.

Thank you

Nimish Yadav 11th Sep, 2020
Yes ,The admission process of Maharashtra Board has postponed . Eventually, the admission process has went into it Second phase application but the merit list display has been postponed. The FYJC admission in Maharashtra is an online process conducted by Maharashtra. The postponed took place due to Supreme Courts interim stay on the Maratha quota in jobs and education . So the Maharashtra Education board had decided to keep the admission process as it is until the further orders .

can i repeat class 11 12 from any other board. i have oassed hsc from maharashtra board this year. to give neet . i had pcm earlier.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 9th Aug, 2020

Sakshi, yes you can repeat your 12th from any other Board. If appearing for NEET is your aim, you need to take Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as your core subjects. But if you have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathermatics, if you have studied Biology as an additional subject in your 12th along with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, then you needn't repeat your 11th and 12th again. You will be eligible for NEET because Biology as an additional subject is allowed for NEET. But if you did not have Biology as an additional subject, you may have to repeat your 11th and 12th. And as of now because there is no upper age limit for NEET, you can appear for NEET after you repeat your 12th. And to be eligible for NEET, you should have completed your 12th, passed in all subjects and secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. Now if you belong to OBC Category, the Category you belong to should be also listed in the Central OBC list. Or else you will be considered as General Category and so you have to secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. This 50% is inclusive of the Theory and Practical marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Biology collectively. You needn't score 50% in Physics, 50% in Chemistry and 50% in Biology separately. You need an aggregate of 50% or 40% depending on your Category as an aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. And along with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, you should also have studied English as one of the core subjects in your 12th.
