can i get admission in viteee with HSC Maharashtra board 70 % and jee main score is 77.94 percentile and I am from sc category? what is expected fee ?

Madhuvarshini.R 26th Jul, 2020

Hello learner,

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University, Vellore often considered one of the best technical universities in India was established with the aim of providing quality higher education on par with international standards.

The eligibility criteria for getting admissions at VIT, are the pupils from SC category should have completed qualifying exams, perhaps the boards or any equivalent examination with an aggregate of 50% in PCM/PCB.Whereas, it is 60% for General Category candidates. If you're from Computer Science infrastructure, you'll have fair chances to pursue the course you desire(GROUP B). In case, if you're from Biology background, you're permitted to take only four specializations, that are build with Bio framework(GROUP A). Since, you've scored 70% in your boards, you have a good probability of getting in. It is mandatory and significant to provide your COMMUNITY/NATIVITY certificate at the time of your Counselling.

If you wish to take a program that falls under GROUP A, the expected fee to be paid is INR 1,73,000 for the first year. It is INR 1,98,000 for the courses that comes under GROUP B.

I have specified the fee structure only for the Engineering stream. If you wish to pursue the other slivers, the fee will vary accordingly. I would personally suggest you to  have an alternate, instead of entirely relying upon VIT.

I wish you All Success!

I have 148 marks in PCB in 12 hsc Maharashtra board & I am from OBC CASTE, am I applicable for government or semigovernmemt Or private colleges in each state after giving neet exams??

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 22nd Jul, 2020

NEET is the entrance examination for admission to MBBS,BDS, Ayush and Veterinary courses across India. And to be eligible for NEET, you should have completed your 12th, passed in all subjects and secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. Now if you belong to OBC Category, the Category you belong to should be also listed in the Central OBC list. Or else you will be considered as General Category and so you have to secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. This 50% is inclusive of the Theory and Practical marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Biology collectively. You needn't score 50% in Physics, 50% in Chemistry and 50% in Biology separately. You need an aggregate of 50% or 40% depending on your Category as an aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. And along with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, you should also have studied English as one of the core subjects in your 12th. With 148 marks, you have an aggregate of 49%. So please check if your Community is listed in the Central OBC list. If yes, then you are eligible for NEET as you require only 40% for appearing for NEET and thereby appear for Counselling and take admission in Medical Colleges should you get a good score in NEET. And if you are preparing for NEET, you may as well try our NEET Knockout package: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/ . And because you have 2 more months to prepare for NEET, you may as well use this opportunity
