242/800 if reduced to a scale of 200 and following the previous year trends doesn’t guarantee you a seat in CSE for sure. However, there are chances for ECE. Do participate in the online counselling to ensure the same. Do check the following link for a detailed insight

For MAHE entrance test, candidate should get 400 to 550 score out of 800 to get admission in B.Tech programmes. For B.Tech in CS branch, one should get about 550 to get seat confirmed in MAHE. Your score is low and better luck next time. Cutoff for previous

To get in CS branch in MAHE, one should get around 550/800 in entrance test according to the cutoff trends. For the admission in remaining engineering branches, your score should be between 400 to 550 from total 800. You can try in 2nd attempt if you want to

                  These pattern of Manipal is new. So nobody can tell the exact thing but your marks is good. I don't think you should have to appear for another time. So, stay & wait for the counselling.

It would be difficult to predict the rank as this year there is change in marking scheme of the exam. Total marks of MU OET 2018 was 200 and this year the total marks are 800.
