i got 89 in the MET test for ug allied helath sciences - BPT (physiotherapy) will i get in?

Niharika Patibandla 17th May, 2025

Hey there! An MET score of 89 for allied sciences - BPT (physiotherapy) puts you in a moderate possibility range. But your chances depend upon the no. Of applicants, difficulty of the exam, seat availability and category ( OC, BC, etc). In previous years, BPT programs at Manipal University typically had higher cutoffs often around 100-110 for general category seats. Your chances may be lower in the first round,  but you could still get in during later rounds.  All the best!

I got 107 marks in met and 339 marks in board in PCME What is the rank

kumardurgesh1802 16th May, 2025

Hello there,

Based on your MET score of 107 out of 240 and Class 12 PCME marks totaling 339 , here's an estimate of your expected rank and potential admission prospects:

Estimated Rank

Considering the MET 2025 scoring trends, a score of 107 typically corresponds to a rank of approximately 8,000 to 11,000 .

Your Class 12 marks (339 out of 400 in PCME) translate to approximately 84.75% , which is a commendable score. Since MET considers both entrance exam scores and board marks, your strong board performance may positively influence your overall rank.

Admission Chances

With a rank in the 8,000–11,000 range, securing admission to Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the Manipal Main Campus is unlikely, as the closing rank for CSE in 2024 was 1,633 .

However, you may have better prospects at other NMIMS campuses:

  • Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) : In previous years, MUJ has admitted students with ranks up to approximately 35,000 for CSE.

  • Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) : This campus generally has higher closing ranks, potentially increasing your chances of admission.

    Next Steps

To get a more precise prediction of your admission chances, you can use the MET College Predictor tools:

These tools allow you to input your MET score and board marks to estimate your rank and see which branches and campuses you might be eligible for.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.

Hi Shanthini,

Given your score of 122 out of 240 in the Manipal Entrance Test (MET), your predicted rank is usually between 6,000 and 7,000 depending on the conditions of the exam and the performance of the other students.

if I score 205 in met exam for allied health , do I still have a chance to get into bsc cvt in manipal?

Tanisha chaudhary 14th May, 2025

HEY THERE!!

With a MET score of 205 for Allied Health and looking to join B.Sc. Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) at Manipal, your admission chances are extremely low as per past trends.

  • In 2023 and 2024, the last round closing rank for B.Sc. CVT was approximately  593–625.
  • Generally, a higher MET score is required to achieve a rank in this range. For instance, a MET score of 145 generally puts a candidate in the rank 1,000–1,100 range, and the CVT cutoff is significantly higher (ranked in the first 600).
  • The B.Sc. CVT cutoff rank is also highly competitive because of the limited number of seats available and high demand.

In conclusion:

Since your score is 205, it is highly unlikely that you will get a seat in B.Sc. CVT in Manipal through the general counselling rounds. You can try other allied health courses with lower cutoffs or private/management quota seats if they are available. Always refer to the official counselling announcements for any modifications in cutoff trends.
