Which is best ?and Reasons. a)Marine engineering b)Mining engineering c) Fisheries d)Petroleum enginerring

Yadav Santripti 17th Jun, 2021
Hey..

I would say marine Engineering because Very satisfying if you take a marine engineering apprenticeship and go to sea as a ships engineer. There is advancement available from junior engineer up to Chief Engineer, which attracts a good salary. But if that bothers you or you dont want to be away from family and friends for long periods, then this job is not for you. If you stick it out to Chief Engineer, there are many shore jobs that can use your experience, including the oil and gas industry where salaries can be even higher than at sea.

And Petroleum is one of the more difficult university courses.Engineering will more or less guarantee you a position in one of the oil majors - they will be knocking on your door - providing there is not an oil slump like there is at the moment

And for mining , you won't find good facilities to spend your earned money.

Hope you satisfied, good luck.

After completing Diploma in Marine Engineering you can go for 2 years long pre sea training course, Or you can take admission in 2nd year of B.E./B.Tech Marine Engineering program after completing your Diploma.

i got 39 marks in jee main can i go for marine engineering

Anurag Khanna 2nd May, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Since you have not mentioned your category so considering it as general and with General category and such marks it is quite difficult to get any good college like NITs/IIITs until and unless you belongs to any of the reserved category except EWS. But you can try for private colleges or you can appear for state counselling for GFTIs if marine engineering is there but note that there are very few colleges that offer marine engineering so it is hard to get Marine engineering in any college on such marks in JEE-Main 2021.

Because according to the mentioned marks your rank is expected to be in the range of 385534 - 264383 , you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

And you can also prepare for further attempts of JEE-Main and to help you in your preparation we have some resources which you can access from the link given below :-

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-
