Hello! I am from pharmacy background and want to go for mba either in marketing or in international business. Can you suggest me something regarding this?

Disha Arora 17th Jun, 2020
Hello Aspirant,

MBA or Masters in business management is post graduation two years course divided into four semesters. It develops Manegrial and Business skills. One who is fascinated with the corporate sector can opt for this course.

Now coming to your question there is good scope of MBA pharma if you have done your graduation in B. Pharma. But if you're not interested in this you can go for any of the two.
If you're interested in advertising, promotion, general management you can go for mba in marketing.
If you're have interest in export, imports, negotiations, language then you can go for MBA in IB.
It depends upon your interest which you want to opt for.

Thank you:)

Hi Dear,

If you want to go for Investment banker profile then I'll recommend you to go for MBA in Finance specialization. You can get into investment banking with Marketing specialisation only if you pursue some additional course like Chartered Financial Analyst etc. You need to have appropriate knowledge and skills for investment banking profile which is generally taught in MBA Finance.

I am in class 12. I aspire to do an mba in marketing. Can you suggest any course which I can do in the span of three years alongwith bcom hons? So that it helps me to build up my CV. Any course that would help me in future (taking into consideration that I want to specialize in marketing)

rehan18alam Student Expert 6th Jun, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

To do MBA from Marketing from a top IIM college, the most important thing as of now at your stage is your graduation percentage. So you must make sure that your graduation score is above 80 to get a good chance at the top college for MBA in marketing that is IIM Ahemdabad.

In the meantime you can also go for internships in the second year related to fields of managment like social media markeiting, etc. But in the final year start preparation for the CAT exam and make sure that your percentage is good.

Hope this helps, thank you.

I am doing a digital marketing Course online along with my studies in English Honours (1st year)..will be it helpful for my future MBA ?

Shivang Dubey 6th Jun, 2020

Hey

No skill get wasted until you apply that to real world applications. Digital Marketing is a demanded skill in this tech driven world where management and IT firms tend to use Digital Marketing for publicity and better reach at it's peak.

Doing a D. Marketing course will definitely help you in your MBA in some or the other way, though it is not a part of MBA curriculum but you can use it in your internships, projects and case studies. Also one could apply for jobs in Digital Marketing domain if he/she has well developed skills and experience in the same field.

For further doubts, ask us. All the best

Supply chain management will become more and more important in the coming times, as the industrial sector in India booms. In fact, most of the lay offs by companies today are happening with management professionals. So, if you have an option, you should definitely go for PGDM in supply chain management

Shudhanshu Gupta Student Expert 4th Jun, 2020
Hello.
There are various specialisations in BBA course these are given below:
  • Finance.
  • Banking and insurance.
  • Human  resource.
  • Information technology.
  • Hospitality  and hotel Management.
  • International trade.
  • Logistic.
  • Travel  and tourism management.
  • Sports  mmanagemen, etc.
Here the name of each specialisation designates the the gist of it that on what you will be focusing majorly in the given specialisation.
now if it is about right selection Then see in yourself that where your interest is? like if it is in business and trade so go for international trade, if it is about hiring people and dealing with them so go with human resource, if it is to know about banking fundamentals then go with banking and insurance, etc.
