1. Can a student directly get admission to second year MBA in Supply Chain Management if he has already qualified MBA in Marketing? 2. What will be the fees? 3. Whether Entrance Exam is applicable in this case or will it be direct admission?

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 25th Jul, 2020

Hello,

eligibility for MBA lateral entry is :- a candidate should have a PG diploma degree in business management.

if you have done MBA then you can't do it again. if you want to know or have knowledge n skills then you have to read it as external course. for learning, you can get many private webpages who provide it.

if you want job option in supply chain management then you can take course from universities like edx, course-era. they provide certificates approved by international universities when you qualify the exam.

You can show-case the certificate to your interviewer as and when they ask for which will represent that you studied and have some knowledge regarding the domain.

Hope it helps!

S. Saha Student Expert 24th Jul, 2020
Along with BBA you can do online certification courses or short term offline certification courses also. Doing these certification courses increases the strength of you resume. Having knowledge in a subject other than your course increases the chance of getting selected in reputed companies. There are many types of trainings or certifications available for BBA students. Based on your specialization, you can go for Certification in Digital Marketing, one of the best career choices right now. A lot of opportunities are there in Digital Marketing. Apart from this, you can opt for Certification in Financial Planner (CFP), Smart Banker Program, Certificate Program in Business Correspondent etc.

Hi, SC category 10th: 76% 12th: 85% Undergrad: 6.6 gpa... 6 gpa in starting sems but 7.5, 7.7, 9 in the later semesters. Computer eng. Worked as a contractual emp at Blackrock for 18 months in Digital Marketing. Would I be able to convert FMS or other B schools if I get 90+ percentile in 2020? Ty

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 31st Aug, 2020

You might need nothing less than 95-97 percentile. This is because FMS Delhi usually has the highest cut offs for its 200 seat intake. The selection process includes 3 stage method. They are:

Eligibility Criteria
Group Discussion and Personal Interview
Final Selection

The basic eligibility criteria remains 50% aggregate for General Category in Graduation and 45% for Reserved Categories or equivalent CGPA from any recognised University. The percentiles in CAT are considered for the further rounds. In 2018, the weightage given for various sections of CAT have been as follows:

QA: 30%
DILR: 30%
VARC: 40%
An additional 3 marks are added to the Composite score in case of women for shortlisting. This score is used only for shortlisting Candidates for Personal Interview. The weightage for Final selection is as follows:
Personal Interview: 15%
CAT score: 60%
Group Discussion: 10%
Extempore: 5%
10th marks: 5%
12th marks: 5%
An additional 3 marks of the maximum aggregate will be added to the women candidates who have attended the Interview. Now with all this process, the cut offs is an important issue to be discussed. Previously FMS used to consider overall CAT score for shortlisting. However since the past 2 years, FMS has been giving sectional preference and weightage. VARC occupies the top position with 40% weightage. A Candidate with at least 97 sectional weightage will be shortlisted at FMS. So it is important to focus more on VARC section while not leaving other sections.

I m doing good in account and statistics then What should i choose Mba in finance or Mba in marketing??? And i m thinking to do Mba from Lpu is it good?

Mohit Gupta 19th Jul, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

It's good to know that you are looking for MBA.

If we talk about MBA specialisation, than anyone person from any field can choose any specialisation as in MBA, everything is taught from basics. For example many engineering students took finance specialisation and finance will be totally unknown for them so they are taught from basics ,same with other specialisation too.

If you are good in Statistics and Finance, you may choose the specialisation called Big data analytics/Data analytics and also Finance, as Big data analytics is the future and it have a huge potential and better salary offering from other specialisation.

If we talk about doing MBA from LPU then you can definitely think about that as it's one of the best University in India according to NIRF ranking. Also MBA is their flagship program which is considered to be good.

To know more about the admission process, cut-offs, entrance exams related to get admission in LPU, you may visit following link:-
