JMI offers 50 seats every year for mass media communication.
For entrance test, you may use the official jmi book itself. It is available in flip kart. You may also refer to
The ultimate guide for journalism and madd media communication by Arihant. There is also a book by Dr. Shafiqe Rahman in Amazon.

Career in the field of Mass Communication :-

how should i prepare for entrance exam of mass communication in amu

To crack mass communication entrance exam one should do the following things :-

  1. Read Newspaper thoroughly.
  2. Choose the important news articles of national and world importance and cut it out and paste it in your note book at least for 30 days.
  3. Rewrite them in your language.
  4. Everyday read about one personality who is in news.
  5. Watch or listen one news program like BBC namaskar Bharat or DNA.
  6. Improve your vocabulary for this you can read Norman Lewis.

is it ok to start studying mass communication next year from April as I am going to give entrance exam on 2021

Hello.
Before going to  your question I want to inform you that if you are giving entrance exam for any course you can start this course only when if you have cleared this exam and from from a particular date after exam result and you are mentioning here that you want to do mass communication next year in April and you want to give entrance exam in 2021 so it is not possible to do if you want to go in any college where you can take direct admission then definitely you can do and if you want to give entrance exam in 2021  for any specific desire or purpose then you can do.

You still have time ahead. I would say that you should start preparing for the entrance exams of reputed government college which provide mass media communication course from now it self so that you can give your best shot in the entrance exam.
