How i take admission in MIT Cambridge for computer science?

Priyank Sharma 26th Apr, 2018
Hello dear,
For taking addmission in mit Cambridge
-Register for the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test), both SAT I and SAT II.
-Take them, and score above 2200 (max. being 2400) each, to be on a safer side.
-Meanwhile, be ready with all the extracurricular certificates and at least 3 of your teachers' recommendations.
-After you get the results(usually in a month or so, post the exam.),fill the application form as wisely as possible, for it contains 5 questions which judge your writing skills.
-Upload these applications and other required materials( which include your transcripts, showcasing your 9-12th grade performance )
-Documents relating to financial aid need to be posted to the corresponding office in the USA.
-All the above steps need to be completed before the month of January.
* Books which you can refer :
-The Official SAT Study Guide
-Kaplan ( practice papers)
-Barron's Guide
PS.: During my research, I found out that MIT is known to enroll most students with one or more patents. Even 2400 scorers struggle hard to get into, as premier institutes like MIT, Harvard, Caltech, etc., are known to admit students with exceptional academic as well as co-curricular achievements. I have read about students who scored 2400, but couldn't get into.On the other hand, some students with a score as low as 1600, but with outstanding co-curriculars get in.Moreover, this was a part of my personal research. Do your own research and apply wisely, All the best, hope you get in... :)

Thanks for give me the answer and I am satisfied .now can anyone tell me am I join us university like Purdue ,UIUC, Massachusetts universi

Shivani Bhatt 25th Jan, 2018

Hi Souvik,

You are in your 10th, I suggest keep doing well in studies and keep yourself interested in a complete development, sports, studies, social work etc.

For a Masters in Computer Science, I suggest study well and do a Btech in Computer science from a top institute in India. After that, gain a couple of years experience in the field as a Btech with experience counts a lot towards a Mtech/ Masters.

For a Masters program, currently, you have to appear for a GRE exam and an English proficiency test like IELTS, TOEFL. You then apply to the universities of your choice with those scores.

DO revert if you need more information.

Best wishes,

MIT applications are available online in August of the year prior to proposed entry. Early Action has a November 1 deadline. Regular Action candidates should complete the application process by January 1 of the year of intended entrance. Early Action decisions will be announced in mid-December. To be considered for Early action, take the tests before November. ie to be considered for admissions in 2019 January, you should take the tests before November 2018. All the best.
