For admission in B.Sc. programme at University of Delhi, you are required to fulfil the following criteria:
As you mentioned you completed your intermediate with mathematics so, there is no way to left in between of path. You have work harder to improve your math instead of running away from it.
In my opinion you should have to join BTech and work on your mathematics.

The thing is, Maths and Computing is much different in all IITs. The course structure is different. So we can't generalise whether “Mathematics and Computing” as a general term, is better or not.

Yes mathematics subject is necessary for Du jat admission and also have to score of aggregate 60 percent marks in board with best four English and mathematics and other two subjects
The minimum aggregate marks for sc,st , cw and pwd category required only 55 percent in board

It is not necessary to score good marks specially in mathematics as there are 3 subjects in jee advance exam. But when score get same to two or more students then they check firstly mathematics section score and still same then physics section or 12th score respectively.
