Area of rectangle is product of its length and breadth. 

If length is 10units and breadth is 20 units  then area will be 10*20= 200 sq. Units

The line joining one vertex of a triangle and the midpoint of the side opposite to the vertex is perpendicular to that side.
This means that AD is the height of the triangle
