The elgibilty criteria to do Maths Honours in Scottish Church college kolkata is given below,
You must have pass-marks in at least four recognised subjects one of which must be English.
You must have passed in the General subjects applied for.
Marks obtained in top four subjects are considered to ascertain the aggregate marks of you passing the examination under grade system.
The marks obtained in Environmental Education, as a compulsory subject, are not taken into account for calculating the aggregate marks in the top four subjects, for the purpose of admission to the degree course of studies in the SCC.
Admission to the SCC is determined by the merits that you should obtain in their previous qualifying examination.
An SC/ST applicant must have scored a minimum of 40% marks in the subject or related subject in the previous qualifying examination.
An applicant with physical disabilities (PH) must have scored:
A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject in the previous qualifying examination, OR
A minimum of 55% marks in the subject or re
lated subject in the previous qualifying examination, ORA minimum of 50% marks in aggregate when the applicant has not studied the subject in his/her previous qualifying examination, provided all other clauses are satisfied.
Christian applicant must have scored:
A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject in the previous qualifying examination, OR
A minimum of 55% marks in the subject or related subject in the previous qualifying examination, ORA minimum of 50% marks in aggregate when the applicant has not studied the subject in his/her previous qualifying examination, provided all other clauses are satisfied.
9) Among Christian candidates, preference is given to those from the Communion of Churches in India (CNI/CSI/Mar Thoma).
