Hey I passed from cbse board with 95 in maths, 95 in physics, 97 in chemistry, 98 in english. what will be my index mark for admission into st xaviers kolkata for economics. Is this mark enough for getting admission there?

The formula for index calculation in BSc Economics is :

AGGREGATE% + MATHEMATICS% (OUT OF 200)

So for you the percentage index is: 191.25.

In CBSE the cutoff remains a bit high but you may still get a chance. Wait for the 2nd round if you donot get

If you opted PCMB in your 12th class and preparing for NEET then you are eligible only when you have a clear pass in 5 subjects in 12th from any respective board including physics, chemistry and biology. If maths is an additional subject

I got 59.6% in 12th C.B.S.E (all 6 subjects), now placements are going in my college and company are asking for 60%. Can I exclude my maths marks according to c.b.s.e top 5 subjects rule (English + top 4 subject). Is there any statement from c.b.s.e for proof? Is the rule applied for company hiring?

Hello,

As for the cbse marks calculations, you have to include 5 subjects for your total percentage and exclude the sixth subject. But you have to keep in mind that you have to choose the best of five including your language subject for calculating your overall percentage. You can exclude

Hello Aspirant,

The topics of JEE Main and Advance are 95% same. Topics such as Mathematical Reasoning, Semiconductors, etc. are excluded from Advance Syllabus. However, nothing is excluded from chemistry. So you gotta study everything in Chemistry.

If you have already selected the 5 th optional subject . And you want to change it now then you can write an application to the head of your school . Most probably they will change your optional subject.
