Hardwork and Efforts :You will find some really talented colleagues in CSE who have already tried their hands at coding prior even entering the college (Not like they are masters at it but they will be having a basic idea of what they would be doing during thier 4 years of time period at MANIT).

CSE students sharpen up their coding skills a lot in college by practicing through various websites online and are always ready to help each other in any manner they can.

Package: As it is said Hardwork never goes in vain so is the case here. Students here get an average package of around 8 LPA .

Choose which branch suits you better or in other words, which branch you actually want to study. Choose a branch to which you are little more inclined for and go ahead with that. Definitely MANIT Bhopal is way lot better than NIT Durgapur. MANIT Bhopal has various Clubs and Societies which are actually a sign of good environment. Also, MANIT Bhopal has a far better academic culture and peaceful, non violent environment than NIT Durgapur.

Both of these are fairly good colleges in terms of infrastructure, faculty and placements. However, the courses you have described are slightly different in approach and understanding. The major difference between both these field is that IT deals with the application of computing technology to real life processes, while, Computer Science deals with the science that facilitates these applications.On the other hand, IT is just the selection of the proper software or hardware for the task. So whichever branch interests you, you can opt for it.

Its good aa metalurgy in nit bhopal is quite rare branch  as per the placement record you should choose metalurgy in bhopal as  its its as in iiit those company might not  come that  which might be there in nit as in nit there is great chances of getting job and taht to in a good company.

Placement Scenarios of CSE in MNIT Jaipur:-

By seeing the statics you have got some idea of the placements made in the following institutes. MNIT Jaipur has the highest packages in comparison to MANIT Bhopal. If you are getting admission in any of the above NIT go for it. All the best for your future.
