Hello Gatla Gayathri , At the start of the New Year, the country has 75,543 MBBS seats in 529 medical colleges. Between 2018 and 2019 academic sessions alone, there was 24.5 per cent increase in the sanctioned intake of MBBS students — from 60,680 in 2018-2019 to 75,543 in 2019-2020.Of these, 269 are government colleges and 260 are private.

For admissions at medical and dental colleges in Karnataka, there are two main types of quota for NEET candidates, 15% All India Quota and 85% state quota. In addition, there is also a private/management/NRI quota for students at private colleges for MBBS and BDS.
As far as reservation is concerned, yes, there is reservation for 3B category students. They are divided into 3BG (3B students from urban areas), 3BK (students who studied at Kannada medium schools) and 3BR (students from rural areas). In maharashtra approximately 2000 seats were to be increased in 2020
But only 500 seats were increased with addition of new colleges in maharashtra and with that
Govt college seats are 6700
Private college 8900

King Edward Medical College has 200 seat intake for MBBS. This year there has been no news of increased seat intake yet. 15% of the seats are filled through All India Counselling and 85% of the seats are filled through State Counselling. The State Quota seats are filled divided into 70% Regional quota and 30% State Quota. There is a proposal to increase the number of seats from 200 to 250 from 2020 . A Jipmer official said the institute has sent details on reservation and quota pattern followed by the institute so far to the ministry. “The ministry sought details on reservation and quota (for Puducherry students)
"Most probably, the ministry may follow the same pattern and publish details on reservation and quota in the prospectus,” said the official."

Yes, There is proposal to increase the MBBS seats from year 2020 from 200 to 250. Currently i.e., up to 2019 there are 54 of 200 MBBS seats in JIPMER(150 in Puducherry and 50 in Karaikal) are earmarked for Puducherry students. Admissions to MBBS course in JIPMER, Puducherry and JIPMER, Karaikal, will be through NEET(National Eligibility Test) and entrance test will be conducted by the National Testing Agency and not by JIPMER from 2020 onwards. Having said that, this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year.
