I got 128 marks in neet pg can I get admission in mds

Dr.Chhavi Srivastava 31st Jul, 2020
Hi as per your query I would like to tell you that your marks are too low to get you a seat in a college for mds . Plus NEET PG and NEET MDS are two different exams conducted once every year in which NEET PG is for getting seat in MD/ MS etc which aspirants can go for only after doing MBBS whereas NEET MDS is for dental aspirants who wants to pursue post graduation in their field which is MDS. You have not mentioned your category either , nevertheless The minimum qualifying percentile of NEET MDS 2020 for general category is 50th percentile with 286 as the equivalent scores, while for SC/ST/OBC aspirants, the cutoff percentile is 40th with 250 scores equals to it. For second round the percentile went down to 220 for general category , 188 for SC/ST / OBC AND 204 for gen -pwd so it's better for you to keep studying and apply next year for the exams .

Hello student,

Yes obviously you can do to your second MDS with another specialisation from any private or state government medical colleges. There is no prevention rule against this in in MCI. But some premier institutes like AIIMS, PGIMER, JIPMER do not allow you to enroll In their post graduation degree once again if you already have your MDS degree.

Hope this will help you

can I get admission in aiims for mds degree after completing bds from nims university rajasthan?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 19th Aug, 2020

AIIMS offers MDS Orthodontics, MDS Prosthodontics, MDS Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, MDS Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and MDS Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry. For all these courses, you should have completed your BDS from a University recognised by the Dental Council of India along with mandatory rotatory 12 months internship. Admissions are conducted through the entrance examination held twice a year  in January and July by All India Institute of Medical Sciences. So going by this, if you complete BDS from NIMS, you can study MDS in AIIMS.
