I got 128 marks in neet pg can I get admission in mds

Dr.Chhavi Srivastava 31st Jul, 2020
Hi as per your query I would like to tell you that your marks are too low to get you a seat in a college for mds . Plus NEET PG and NEET MDS are two different exams conducted once every year in which NEET PG is for getting seat in MD/ MS etc which aspirants can go for only after doing MBBS whereas NEET MDS is for dental aspirants who wants to pursue post graduation in their field which is MDS. You have not mentioned your category either , nevertheless The minimum qualifying percentile of NEET MDS 2020 for general category is 50th percentile with 286 as the equivalent scores, while for SC/ST/OBC aspirants, the cutoff percentile is 40th with 250 scores equals to it. For second round the percentile went down to 220 for general category , 188 for SC/ST / OBC AND 204 for gen -pwd so it's better for you to keep studying and apply next year for the exams .

Hello student,

Yes obviously you can do to your second MDS with another specialisation from any private or state government medical colleges. There is no prevention rule against this in in MCI. But some premier institutes like AIIMS, PGIMER, JIPMER do not allow you to enroll In their post graduation degree once again if you already have your MDS degree.

Hope this will help you

Last NEET rank got mds seat in govt dental colleges

Venkatachalam M 18th Jul, 2020

NEET MDS Cut off 2020 – National Board of Examinations (NBE) in consultation with Dental Council of India (DCI) and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has reduced the NEET MDS cutoff by 18.935 percentile while scores reduced by 66 marks for all categories, which can be checked from the notice below. The cut off of NEET MDS 2020 has been reduced due to an insufficient number of candidates qualifying the entrance examination. The revised NEET MDS cutoff 2020 for the General/EWS category, SC/ST/OBC, and General-PwD are 31.065, 21.065, and 26.065 percentile, respectively. The equivalent NEET MDS 2020 cut off scores to these percentiles can be checked in the article below. Candidates securing the revised NEET MDS 2020 cutoff percentile will be eligible to participate for the mop-up round of counseling by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and the remaining state counseling process.
