NBE will release the dates of 2021 NEET MDS EXAM tentatively in the second week of October 2020. The exam will be conducted in the third week of December in online ( Computer based test) mode. NEET MDS Cut off 2020 – National Board of Examinations (NBE) in consultation with Dental Council of India (DCI) and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has reduced the NEET MDS cutoff by 18.935 percentile while scores reduced by 66 marks for all categories, which can be checked from the notice below. The cut off of NEET MDS 2020 has been reduced due to an insufficient number of candidates qualifying the entrance examination. The revised NEET MDS cutoff 2020 for the General/EWS category, SC/ST/OBC, and General-PwD are 31.065, 21.065, and 26.065 percentile, respectively. The equivalent NEET MDS 2020 cut off scores to these percentiles can be checked in the article below. Candidates securing the revised NEET MDS 2020 cutoff percentile will be eligible to participate for the mop-up round of counseling by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and the remaining state counseling process.
AIIMS offers MDS Orthodontics, MDS Prosthodontics, MDS Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, MDS Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and MDS Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry. For all these courses, you should have completed your BDS from a University recognised by the Dental Council of India along with mandatory rotatory 12 months internship. Admissions are conducted through the entrance examination held twice a year in January and July by All India Institute of Medical Sciences. So going by this, if you complete BDS from NIMS, you can study MDS in AIIMS.
This year for NEET MDS 2020, the cut offs have been reduced by 18.935 percentage which is approximately 66 marks across all Categories. Now the new Cut offs are as follows:
General/EWS: 31.065
SC/ST/OBC: 21.065
General PWD: 26.065
And the revised marks are as follows:
General/EWS: 220
SC/ST/OBC:188
General PWD: 204

NIMS University Jaipur id MCI and DCI approved (you can check this from https://nimsuniversity.org/recognition-accreditation/ ) . You will be eligible for MDS on fulfilling the following criterions:
A candidate needs to posess a BDS degree from a University recognised by the DCI (you have fulfilled this criteria)
You need to have 12 months of compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training
You need to have provisional/ permanent registration of DCI.

On July 3, 2020 the cutoff for NEET MDS 2020 has released the revised and reduced cut off. The revised cut off for OBC category is 188 which is 21.065 percentile. The cut is reduced to fill the remaining vacant seats in the dental colleges in India. Even after the reduced cut off you are not eligible to get seat as you have scored 171 marks.
Yes you can definitely get admission, but for that you should be able to crack the AIIMS MDS exam as the field is highly competitive and so you may need to study and work really hard for your admission.
AIIMS is a really prestigious institute so you will definitely get good exposure there.

Most of the colleges accept NEET scores you can apply to private colleges and give their proprietary exams also.
The various exams accepted in India for MDS admissions include NEET MDS, NEET PG, AIIMS PG and Karnataka NEET PG.
