Neet mds college predictor For periodontics department how much rank will get seat through government and private quota in karnataka Rank is 14083

SHUBHANGI SINHA 24th Jul, 2025

Hello,

Your prospects of being accepted into a government dental institution in Karnataka with a NEET MDS rank of 14083 are extremely slim because government seat cut off for clinical specialties like periodontics normally close around all India rank 5000 to 9000 for students in the general category. However, they are good still be limited opportunities at less popular government institutions are in subsequent counselling rounds like mop up if you are eligible under the state quota and belong to a reserved category.

However, you have a decent too good chance of getting a spot in periodontics in private and recognised Universities. Especially under the management or NRI quota, several private Karnataka institutions under KEA or COMEDK except rankings as high as 15000 to 18 000 specialties like periodontics.

harsh singh 20th May, 2025

With an All India Rank of 5588 in NEET MDS (OBC category), you have a good chance to get admission in government dental colleges in Maharashtra like:

GDC Mumbai

GDC Nagpur

GDC Aurangabad

These colleges usually have closing ranks much higher than 5588 for OBC, so you’re in a safe range for Round 1 or 2 counseling.

gopi 20th May, 2025

Hello Mr. Rajesh,

Congratulations to your daughter on passing NEET MDS 2025 with a mark of 405! From the trend of cutoffs of previous years, a mark of 405 is a good mark for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery MDS in deemed universities, particularly in the management quota.

Some of the deemed universities in Maharashtra where she could have good chances of getting through are:

  1. DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai

  2. Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College, Pune

  3. Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences, Wardha

  4. Dr. DY Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune

Is there any chance to drop cut off for neet mds 2025

SEJAL JAIN 24th Jul, 2025

There is a possibility that the NEET MDS 2025 cut-off may drop, especially if a significant number of seats remain vacant after multiple counselling rounds, as seen in previous years.

Factors like the number of applicants, difficulty level of the exam, and available seats all influence the final cut-off. In 2023 and 2022, the cut-off was revised and lowered during the mop-up or stray vacancy rounds to fill seats in private and deemed universities. So, if you are close to the cut-off, stay hopeful and keep track of the official counselling updates you might still get a good opportunity in later rounds

I got 540 in neet mds and I belong to ews category will I get a chance of getting into government dental College all India rank is 2238

gopi 16th May, 2025

Hi Sakthi,

With an All India Rank (AIR) of 2238 in NEET MDS and belonging to EWS category, your chance of getting a seat in a government dental college depends on a number of factors including the number of seats offered, category wise reservations for the seats and cut-offs for the current admission cycle. Usually, number of government dental services seats for EWS candidates is very limited but reserved.

It is possible to get entry with an AIR of 2238 considering a fair chance out of the not too competitive states or colleges, but I wouldn't bet on it for top-tier government colleges as the cut offs tend to be high. I would suggest that you take part in the counseling rounds and look through the category wise seat matrix for the states of your choice.
