Hi! With a 7,000 rank in NEET MDS and being from the OC category in Telangana , it might be tough to get a seat in a government college. But don’t worry—you still have chances in private dental colleges through the state quota or management quota .
Keep an eye on the counselling rounds and cutoff updates. You can also check your options using the https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-mds-college-predictor .
Hope this helps!
Hello there,
As of now, there is no indication that the NEET MDS 2025 cutoff will be reduced . The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has already declared the official cutoff scores, and these are unlikely to change. NEET MDS 2025 Official Cutoff Scores
The qualifying cutoff marks for NEET MDS 2025, based on the 50th percentile for General/EWS and the 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC candidates, are as follows:
General/EWS : 261 marks
General/EWS-PwD : 244 marks
SC/ST/OBC (including PwD) : 227 marks
These scores are the minimum required to qualify for the NEET MDS exam and participate in the subsequent counselling process. Possibility of Cutoff Reduction
Once the official cutoff scores are announced, they typically remain unchanged. The decision to reduce cutoffs is not common and would require a formal announcement from the NBEMS or the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). As of now, there has been no such announcement. Next Steps
If you have qualified NEET MDS 2025, your next steps include:
Download Your Scorecard : Visit the official NBEMS website to download your scorecard.
Stay Updated on Counselling Dates : Keep an eye on the official MCC website for announcements regarding the counselling schedule.
Prepare for Counselling : Gather all necessary documents and be ready to participate in the counselling process once the dates are announced.

Hi Sakthi,
With an All India Rank (AIR) of 2238 in NEET MDS and belonging to EWS category, your chance of getting a seat in a government dental college depends on a number of factors including the number of seats offered, category wise reservations for the seats and cut-offs for the current admission cycle. Usually, number of government dental services seats for EWS candidates is very limited but reserved.
It is possible to get entry with an AIR of 2238 considering a fair chance out of the not too competitive states or colleges, but I wouldn't bet on it for top-tier government colleges as the cut offs tend to be high. I would suggest that you take part in the counseling rounds and look through the category wise seat matrix for the states of your choice.
Dear candidate,
It very difficult to get admission with 4767 rank in neet mds in obc category for government seat. The govt seats are most closed under 1000 ranks. You can choose private or deemed Universities for this.
All the best !!

Hi Ayushi Priya,
The cheapest MDS in Public Health Dentistry programs in India are typically offered by government dental colleges. Based on available data, here are some of the most affordable options:
Hello Aspirant,
With a rank of 1203 and obtaining 586 marks in NEET MDS 2025, you are in a good position to get a seat in a Government Dental College, especially through state quota, depending on your category and domicile state. For All India Quota (AIQ) 50% seats, top Government Dental Colleges usually close at ranks under 800-1000 for the general category so there is a good chance in later rounds or if you are from a reserved category (OBC/SC/ST/EWS).
I would suggest checking previous year cut-offs for your category and state, and to keep checking the MCC and state counseling portals for real-time updates.
