ANPAM KUMAR Student Expert 25th Aug, 2019

Hey there

There is no iit offering Mtech in automobile engineering because they basically focus on core branches like electrical, Mechanical, etc. But you have better options at nits

1. Nit Warangal.

2. Nit Trichy.

Both the colleges are top nit and have good placement records even in automobile engineering.

Good luck

I have engineering back ground is it better to do MBA or Mtech

Raji_49 Student Expert 25th Aug, 2019

Hi aspirant,

taking the current trend into account, doing MBA fetches you various options in life to pursue in your career. Job oppurtunites are available for a MBA graduate in many areas and has a ensured job oppurtunity  at the end of MBA. whereas in the case of doing M.Tech in your career fetches you exposure in single field alone and at the end makes you reach either to do research or carry forward your career in teaching line. herefore you should choose the better among these and study about pro's and cons and come to a conlusion.

Are M.Tech projects done Individually or in a group?

Sree Student Expert 25th Aug, 2019

Hello aspirant!!

In most of the cases M.Tech Projects are done individually. Group products are not encouraged until and unless if the project is very complicate. But you try to do individually. Because as per rules that is only advisible. It also depends on the college rules also. Most probably it is individual project.

Good Luck!!

For mtech Taking admission in private collage is good or in government college

NILUTPOL Student Expert 25th Aug, 2019
Hello,
you should definitely check out for Private colleges. Usually the academic qualifications of professors' level in Private colleges are far better than those of Govt colleges. You will find better teaching staff (Professors) in here as they have a strict criterion for selection of teachers. They also have a good industrial relation with the companies therefore placements will not be an issue.
you can do your M.Tech from a private college/ university. These days we have many reputed engineering colleges in India like LPU, Amity, Sharda etc which offer scholarships to meritorious students as well.

I applied the gate Marks in pgcet and still I wrote pgcet written exam now I received my pgcet mtech rank but mtech gate rank is not shown

NILUTPOL Student Expert 24th Aug, 2019
Hello,
You have appeared for PGCET exam so I assume that your GATE score was less. So your rank is list has been made on the basis of better score in between PGCET exam and GATE score.
Students who have a valid gate score can
just submit their score card and a seperate
merit list will be prepared for them for
MTech in Karnataka, they don't even have to
and more importantly can't take the exam of
PGCET as per KEA guidelines. If your gate
score is low, then just click a Non Gate scorer
option in PGCET application form and write
PGCET

There is absolutely no discrimination made
between both students. A seperate Rank list
and seperate allotment of seats are made.

Hii,I am Aishwarya I completed my btech in the stream of ECE Im planning to do MTech so could u suggest courses related to ECE according

NILUTPOL Student Expert 24th Aug, 2019
Hello,
Specialization in M.Tech in ECE

Earlier, Masters was limited to mechanical and civil engineering. But in the current scenario, a Masters in Computer Science and Masters in Electronics and Telecommunication are also extremely popular.

While you are studying for a Masters degree in ECE, you will have a deeper knowledge of the subjects taught in B.Tech.ECE. With the tremendous growth of telecommunication and multimedia technologies in recent times, it is a good choice to pursue your M.Tech in ECE. It will give you an opportunity to find a secure and reputable job, which is not easy with just a bachelors degree.

VLSI System Design

This branch is ranked number one in the choice of specialization. Delivery of highly reliable data in short time can be possible with the VLSI system. Specific IC circuits work on the VLSI system. Companies such as IBM and Philips often hire M.Tech ECE students to work on various projects.

Communication & IT

This branch is directly in contact with other branches of Information Technology and Computer Engineering. ECE is the integration of Electronics and IT. eLearning technologies and products like tablets cant be used for communication without having a basic knowledge in both these areas.

Embedded Systems

For every electronic item like AC, TV, and computers, there is an embedded system without which a device cannot work. Programming knowledge is a must in this case. For a consumer electronic device to actually work, a system needs to be installed where it can take a decision based on the conditions provided.

Robotics

Robots are now present in most of the areas such as healthcare, military, automotive industry, etc. Artificial intelligence remains the primary focus in Robotics and continues to drive modern-day technological innovations.

Wireless Communication

In the current era of wireless systems and cell phones, this area is also among the top choices for students pursuing a Masters in ECE. The knowledge of communication subjects and programming is a must for this area.

There are also many other branches for students looking to pursue a highly specialized Masters in ECE:

Signal processing: Mainly concerned with mobile communication

Electronics Design & Technology: Focuses on domain covering the Network communication, Power Conversion & Drives, Instrumentation, VLSI Design, etc.

Microelectronics & VLSI Design: Primarily focuses on manufacturing and study of small nano type design.

Telecommunication Engineering: Combination of computer science, electrical as well as electronics

Job Prospects for students

With a Masters degree in one of the many ECE subjects, students are ready to take on the job market. This degree sets students up for a career in many fields, some of which are listed below:

Research and development departments in the government as well as private sectors

Engineering and technology product development

IT services

Education field as a teacher, professor,or assistant professor

Hope it helps
