After getting Mtech degree(EEE) from IITs, is that possible to get good PSUs?In that case what are the good salaries offered to them?

Siddhant Student Expert 4th Jul, 2019

Dear aspirant ,

Yes it is possible for you to get good PSU as you have MTECH degree from IIT which is the best achievement for an engineering student . The salary will vary from person to person , as it depends upon what knowledge you have for the job which you will apply for . The package can vary from 5 LAKHS TO 12 and may be upto 18 LAKHS PER ANNUM.  PSUs also give you nice increment in salary after like 1 or 2 years.

Afreen Anjum Student Expert 10th Jun, 2019
Hii..

It is hard to secure seat through pgecet even after scoring a good rank or marks..may after scoring good marks or rank you will not  able to get a seat in OU easily as  compare to GATE examination ...

It will more easy for you to get admission through Gate score ..so my is to go with gate exam and your rank should lie less than 5000..

But as you ask about ts pgecet Marks to get OU...here are pgecet rank cut-off of some colleges :-

To get OU through pgecet for m.tech you have to rank below 120..

in iet lucknow can i leave in between the mtech dual course after compeleting my btech?

Himanshu Student Expert 10th Jun, 2019

Hii,i am here to help you according to your query.I guess it depends on the college and Im not sure how this works. What I know is, the final year of BTech and 1st year of MTech are same so I guess you could skip you exams if allowed to and get your Btech degree only. However, there might be the case of paying full fees for the dual degree course. It just depends on your university or college. You have a great opportunity to do mtech, so don't loose that, leads higher salaries and easy promotions for life time. futher you need to persue mba immediately or after getting 2-3yrs. experience.

Hope,this information helpful for you.Goodluck.

How many seats are there in VIT M.Tech Integrated Programme ?. I want to know which one is best compare to M.Tech vs B.Tech (CSE) ?

Hrishabh 10th Jun, 2019

There is no specifc number of seats mentioned on the VIT website under Mtech integrated couse column.

The course curriculum is 70% similar to BTech CSE and IT.

Good thing about MS SE is it will save you a year when compared to others who pursue a 4+2 years degree to complete PG.

The subjects are tailor-made to suit software industry. You will be a perfect fit to pursue a software job once you complete this course. Certain subjects like Design Patterns, Requirements Engineering, Software Testing, Software Architecture and Design etc are some of the subjects that are not offered in BTech CSE/IT but are very much relevant and widely used in the Software Industry. There are some optional subjects (electives( like Management Information Systems, Multimedia etc have huge value when learnt at university level.

But there is definitely a certain amount of discrimination in VIT wrt BTech CSE and IT. Not all companies will make MS SE eligible for their recruitment, but the situation is changing now. The current percentage would be 70% of the companies who recruit BTech CSE/IT are recruiting MS SE students as well.

I would definitely say that its a good course if you have a IT job on your mind after graduation.

Note: A student should not have more than 2 arrears at the time of recruitments in order to be eligible for a job interview. This was the rule in 2017 placements and could have changed later which I am unaware now

I am unable to crack GATE even at my 2nd attempt. Kindly advise me what can I do now?I want to pursue M.Tech.(suggest some colleges in North

R.R.KARTHIKA 3rd May, 2019
It's time to start fresh.
MY friend qualified GATE Exam in his 3rd attempt. I don't want to compare himself with anyone's situation.
I just want you, not to loose hope. I have said earlier also- if you think you might fail then fail better so that in the end when you look back you could say to yourself irrespective of your result " you did your best and you are satisfied "
I will share his experience and few suggestions. Choose the best for yourself or create your own.
If you believe in yourself that you can improve a lot and perform far better than this year and if the voice inside your head is echoing back to you to again prepare for GATE Exam then do not think twice just go for it but before that-
1. BE TRUE TO YOURSELF. Accept your mistakes and your result. It's part of your future success. Tell your parents you haven't qualified this time or could not score well. Set your mind to qualify GATE Exam next year. You don't need to beat your drums, just remind yourself everyday and work on your goal with full dedication after prioritizing and optimizing your earlier strategy.
After that.
2. DO NOT SIT IDLE. What you will do now will build your character. If you think there's nothing you can do, you are correct. If you think now don't have anything to loose and you can do anything then also you are correct. Do not let your emotions drive your life. The hardest thing is to control your emotions. Control your emotions and start doing INTENTIONALLY (irrespective of what you are feeling) something PRODUCTIVE every single day- if possible make a team and teach your friends/online@Unacademy/YouTube, learn a new software, read a self help book, meet new people and make new friends, get out and breathe in fresh air, search for aero-startups and call them first. If they do not respond then mail them; tell them your worth and learn and work with them, even for free. If you think you need to go door to door to get employed-(intern/job) then do not think twice. The decisions you will take in this rough and tough phase of yours will leave a solid impression in your own memory. Be fearless. You may work below your worth like I am doing but you should never work below your potential because in the end you will only regret.
3. DO NOT OVERTHINK or over-analyse your situation. Do not focus on your problem. It will bring you nothing but will only take your everyday peace bit by bit and will only scare you.
Idle mind is a devils workshop. It's a bitter phase of life where you need to explore opportunities for yourself. Once in a while go for solo walks. Make peace with yourself. Do anything that wakes you up every morning, that keeps you moving and do it every single day because "Persistence is the character of the man what carbon is to steel".
4. FOCUS on WHAT YOU CAN DO NOW? Do not limit your career options.
All you need is to make your every effort to get what you want to do NOW.
Alongside you must prepare yourself for the next year and do those topics first which you were not able to do or those which you know will take most of your time and energy because you are a bit scared or hesitant to learn those topics like - he still hesitate to learn Structures even though he do not have fear. It will keep your mind occupied by doing productive work towards your goal and not getting negative thoughts .

Is there any entrance exam to get admission in govt Colleges for M.Tech program from May.

Satyam Student Expert 27th Jul, 2019

I see that you want to study/persue mtech from governmental colleges, best would be iit. So see , there is a exam which is heldevery year, known as gate exam . Through gate exam if one gets a good rank then he/she is called by the institutes , mainly iit for an interview, then they are admitted. Except these colleges there are other colleges also who take their own entrance exam.

All the best.

In sastra main campus only b.tech without any integrated coures with m.tech how much percentile should I get in jee main sir

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 7th Jul, 2019

Hello,

Sastra college have no cutoff to filter candidates for admission. They have thier own factors thorugh which you have to take an admission. If you want to take an admission in BTech then JEE Main marks will do the work. To get an integrated course your marks should be good enough. If you want to take an admission separately for Mtech then you have to give government exams like Gate to get a PG course admission.

The higher you score the more secure is your admission.

Hope it helps!
