Hello i m applying online form in ict jalna college for chemical.engineering but there are two options 1.Executive chemical engineering and

Nishita Sareen 11th Jun, 2019

Hello priti,

Executive chemical engineering would include 4 years integrated Btech degree while the later one is actually Mtech with a total of 5 years. Now it depends on you whether you want to do mtech dual degree or not or stick to the integrated conventional Btech course.

Hope this helps, feel free to contact and ask more questions.

Sir/Madam,I got interview letter from IIT khargpur for M.Tech in Control Systems Engineering.

Saurabh 2nd May, 2019
Hi rajitha,  since you have an interview call for mtech,  I suggest you prepare diligently for the interview irrespective of what your gate score is. Remember there are people who would give anything to be in your place to have a chance at the interview. You have to believe in yourself and go for the interview. By going you would atleast have a chance of getting in. But by not going you have taken away some one else's chance of getting an interview call and not done anything of it. It all depends on your interview. They don't call you for no reason. They don't have time to go through a candidate's interview just to reject them. So go and give the interview. Even if it is far from your home.

hello sir/madam,i have btech 59.2 am i eligible to get mtech admission in vit university

Akshat Kudariya 11th Jun, 2019

Hello Manikanta, admission in Mtech course in VIT depends on your score in VITMEE which they conduct to take admissions of graduates for their post graduate programs. They provide specialisation in 21 courses. If you're gate qualified than you'll be given preference during the seat allotment. The cutoff of VITMEE depends on some of the factors such as,

1. Difficulty level of the paper.

2. Number of students appearing for the paper.

3. Number of seats.

Gavanksha Student Expert 11th Jun, 2019

Hello apsirant,

VIT offers 21 specializations in its M.Tech program. You have not mention your course. With your rank you have  decent chances but it lot dpemds on the branch, you may get one of the institutes. VITMEE 2019 Cutoff depends on various factors from numbers of available seats to a number of applicants, etc. So it is difficult to tell you exact chances.

You may go through the link for more details: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/viteee-cutoff/amp&ved=2ahUKEwjs7PDineHiAhVOeysKHa38BOcQFjAMegQIBRAI&usg=AOvVaw1jvnpbdsgzmhCZrICQ0e5c&ampcf=1

I got Rank 48 in VITMEE CSE Exam. My B.tech is in Civil Engineering, and I also have admissions from US univ. How good is VIT for Mtech CSE?

Kritika sagar 11th Jun, 2019

Hello Abhishek,

Congrats for your performance in VITMEE.Now coming is it worth to do Mtech from VIT vellore, well i would suggest you ,keep this as your last option.you may first go for IIT'S,NIT's or IIIT's.Else you have foreign offers then join that because VIT is mostly famous for B.tech CSE students and there is no such competition. They also follow RBL for mtech which is research based learning which means for each subject you have to write a research paper.I hope it helped

which university is best for doing mtech anna university ceg campus OR jntu hyderabad and parallely i want to do software courses

Nandhini Student Expert 11th Jun, 2019
Hello student,
Both the colleges - Anna University,  College of engineering, Guindy campus is well as JNT University, Hyderabad, stands equally good. When we compare the infrastructure, JNTU has a slightly good one. Above all, Anna university has good placement records, but, you cannot expect a good faculty. Otherwise it is good to choose. Overall, you can go for jntu, but, if you are convinced with CEG, then you can opt for it too. There is no big difference.
Hope this helped. All the best

cuttoff for m tech in electrical engg

Jadeja Hardiksinh 2nd May, 2019
Dear Sir,
The selection process for M.Tech in ZHCET AMU is done through two ways:
1.If you have 500 and above GATE Score(valid for two consecutive years) , you will be directly shortlisted for counselling cum admission process. The procedure to this criteria requires the candidate to fill the online application form of M.Tech on the official website of AMUhttp://amucontrollerexams.comin the departmental test section and filling up of all the required information including GATE score and GATE registration number and application fee 400/. Moreover you have to upload GATE score card.
2. If you don't have a valid GATE score (500+) you have to appear for entrance test conducted by various Depts of ZHCET in the month of June. The cutoff for Dept Test is around 3840 marks(for electrical engineering Dept) for internal candidates and around 50 marks for external candidates .
50% of total seats are reserved for internal candidates . Internal Candidates are those students who have done their B.Tech from ZHCET. There is no other quota such as Distance Quota etc.
Various Depts of ZHCET publish the list of candidates exempted from Dept test (those who have 500+ gate score).
Separate list for the candidates who have to appear in the test is also published .
Final List of selected students(including both 500 score holder and test qualified) and wait listed students is released by the depts.
For CS branch I don't have exact idea about cutoffs but I think 50 marks in departmental test is a decent score for external candidate. I will try to find out .
The eligibility criteria for M.Tech admission is aggregate 60% or 6.5 CGPA in B.Tech
I hope it helps

Thank You

Is it possible to do m.tech in astrobiology after b.tech biotechnology

Swagata Mishra 5th May, 2019

Hello Nikki,

What is Astrobiology?

Astrobiology is about understanding the origin, evolution, distribution and future of life in the Universe. The origin of life is still one of the biggest mysteries of Science and probably would require help from every field to crack this.

Eligibility for the course:

  • At least science is necessary for 12th with physics and biology. One physical subject is essential as astrobiology deals with the origin of the universe.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Biology, Astronomy, Space Science, Chemistry or another appropriate subject from an accredited college or university. This course of study must include at least 20 semester hours of Physical Science, Engineering.

After doing UG in India, you can do post graduation in astrobiology from the USA or any other good university abroad.

Considering your case, it is possible to get into astrobiology after being trained in biotechnology. Astrobiology like Biotechnology is an interdisciplinary course and you will have to decide what field you want to focus on your research. Depending on what field you are interested in, you can choose to do your PhD. in India or go abroad in order to learn how to do research in that field.

Institutes for pursuing Astrobiology courses:

In India, IARC(Indian Astrobiology Research Centre), Mumbai provide a 4 months diploma course in astrobiology which is a distance learning course.

India doesn't have established courses for astrobiology in colleges or institutes. But you can get involved by being part of any space-related research program.

Hope it helps!
