M.E /M.Tech.
Hello Aspirant,
It would be difficult to tell you the exact as cutoff varies every year depending on the various factors. But based on this score the chances are less to get the core branches in NITs as a General Category. You can also use GATE College Predictor tool to know your best admission possibilities.

As much as I know the courses are very good and some of them are even there in IITs. This will gain popularity in the upcoming years and the demand for these type of courses will be very high. Smart manufacturing has members from highly reputed industries.
Coming to placement, so according to the 2018 statistics, the details are: Computer - 100% Electronics - 80% Mechanical - 22%

hey gsv prasad
The integrated M.S(SE) is renamed as M. Tech integrated. It is renamed in 2015
For batches before 2015 they will get degree under the name MS(SE) but to get M. Tech they have to do some credits extra.
Coming to Branch it is not as good as you expected. While studying you feel that you are learning more than the CSE and It Students but while coming to campus placements Integrated students will not get as many companies as CSE and IT students. If CSE students gets 300 companies Integrated students are eligible for only 80–100.
Coming to club you won't face much problems.
If you can't make to VIT this year it better to take long term and take B. Tech course. If you are willing to do higher studies then it is better to join in your state good engineering college and go for Foriegn.
Finally my suggestion is think and join
hope this helped :)
Hi Srinivas ! First of all in vit Vellore there is no scope of integrated m.tech course of 5 years. There is only b.tech course of years for UG and m.tech course of two years for PG. So hope you understand. M.tech courses seats are filled through gate exam. So best of luck to you.
Hello Amrita,
First of let me brief you about what UGC is and what it does? UGC stands for University Grants Comission. The basic role of UGC in laymen terms is to maintain the standards of higher education.
If your university has UGC approval then it will be a plus point for you. It generally means that your university is recognised and approved by many foriegn universities. So, as per your plan to study abroad, you need the UGC approved college. Nevertheless, if you don't have one then it's not that much off a deal but if your university has one than it would be good for you.
Yes, ofcourse you can do masters abroad.UGC is just a governing body. It provides recognition to universities in India and disbursements of fund to such recognised universities and colleges.
Hope your query is resolved.
If in nearby future, you need my assistance, do inform me.
I wish you best of luck in your future endeavor.
To get into PSUs you need to appear for the GATE. A good rank will ensure your place in one of them. There are companies (like Doordarshan or other broadcasting media) that select applicants through SSC where Electronics and Communication or Physics is demanded as a major subject, you can opt for them too. You can directly apply to some companies and they will shortlist you based on your resume.
