ALL THE BEST! WORK HARD !!
Hello Aspirant,
It is, in fact.
In order to enter the specialised programmes, the majority of people consider taking a break after completing their undergraduate degree. Above all, the majority of foreign universities require a certain amount of experience before admitting students to their graduate programmes.
It is strongly advised to take a few years off before beginning any specialisation so you can gain some real-world experience and have a better understanding of the material you will be studying.
As long as you fill in this gap with relevant work experience, it doesn't make your profile risky but rather gives it a powerful punch.
So gather some salt, and get ready to apply!
Good fortune!
Hello Abirami,
If you have qualified your Masters in Engineering, then while filling in the application form you must choose M.E. only. In either way if you wish to apply for the admission in any institute through GATE again you can go forward. Else, you can prepare yourself for the PSU recruitment through GATE.
You should always go with the current degree you hold while applying for any entrance examination.
Please comment below for further assistance.
all the best!!

Indian PhD programmes will expect you to have completed a postgraduate Masters, but you may be able to apply with a good undergraduate degree if you can demonstrate sufficient experience and expertise in your proposed field. Most common international qualifications will be recognised by Indian universities.
so you can apply after MTECH only
hope this helps
Since mechanical engineering and genetic engineering are totally two different fields, it is not advisable for you to do it so.both the branches are not related therefore it is better if you select specialisation related to mechanical engineering
Hi Shubham! If you are referring to the study materials of CAT/XAT etc., it should be sufficient for UPES MET. The difficulty level of the exam is fairly easy and it can be equated to the difficulty level of MAT or ATMA. Hence, if you are preparing for other MBA entrance exams like CAT, XAT, IIFT, SNAP, CMAT etc., you can very well consider it enough to prepare for UPES MET.
There is no option to fill M.Tech in the application, as GATE is also the entrance for admission to various post graduate programmes inclufding MTech. You need to fill in details of your UG ie., BE/BTech only since that is the minimum required qualification.
