Yes you can apply for faculty in chem engg in any college and you can a good one as now the new rule for faculty is to be PhD, son't know from when government is applying for that but its coming soon. So good luck.

Eligibility for GATE is 4 year B.Tech degree or any other equivalent degree like M.Sc or MCA. Students with BCA can not apply for GATE but they can go for M.Sc computer science or MCA after which they can apply for GATE/M.Tech.
