Let me clear your doubt. Yes you can do mtech after qualifing mca because bca+mca is considered equivalent to btech degree so you can go for mtech after mca degree.

There are nearly 15 colleges if i am not wrong but only 3 are good. In Bangalore, I know MTech in VLSI and Embedded Systems Course exists in following colleges - RV College of Engineering, PESIT and BMS College of Engineering
All of the three are autonomous

Some of the PSU companies which hire from MTech Bio-Technology are
PSU companies do recruite Bio Technology students, but hardly the GATE Qualified ones. Government hardly releases the funds required for research in any fields especially in the ones like Biotechnology where the result in unpredictable. So PSUs recruite less no of employess leading to rejection of GATE Qualified students.

Well, if you are getting IT in your preferred college instead of CSE, then I would recommend you to join IT in R.V. College.
This is because there is not much difference between IT and CSE in Indian engineering curriculum. CSE and IT students are given same opportunities in most aspects be it placements or PSUs. So make your decision wisely.
