    It is not GATE or Mtech.

    You get admission in Mtech through GATE exam. You have 2 more years to prepare for GATE and then admission in Mtech or apply for Jobs in PSU.

    yes u can do your M.tech from iit ,you can do your m.tech from iisc Bangalore if your gate rank is very good.As per my opinion you start your preparation beginning of 3 rd year and you can crack the gate exam

    I would suggest you not to go for M.Tech from distance as it does not have any value in market, better to take admission in those college/universities which provide classes in evening.

    Yes it's good to do a mtech from bit sindri with mechanical branch ......but first try for IITs and other good options then try for bit sindri....
    If you didn't qualify for those...then bit sindri is good...it's placement is also good...best of luck for your future!!..
