Infrastructure is good , proper Hygienic food is provided in mess. placement record is good with highest package of 8 LPA and average package of 3.5 LPA ,however placement record depend on students performance so its not fixed. Old NITs are much better than almost all the IIIT(Indian Institute of Information Technology)s

IIITGuwahati is a very new institute and NIT Bhopal is much older

The opportunities,academics,peer group,placements,campus life will be better in the NIT than the IIIT

I would even settle with a lower branch at NIT than IIIT Guwahati

I would recommend this college for Mechanical Engineering since this college has great placement record in core companies and it has greater facility. You can easily prepare for GATE IES PSU from this college because college is not that strict on attendance issue. This college lacks management but with the help of new principal from Mechanical dept it is progressing very rapidly. Atmosphere is too humid you may sometimes curse yourself for this much humidity. Although college doesn't charge money for electricity so you can use AC and Cooler.

All 18 permanent faculty are Phd from IITs . No faculty is below Phd.  All have 10+ years experience in teaching.
