Dear Vijay,
Yes, it is possible. If you have studied PCM (physics, chemistry, biology) combination in your class 12th you can go for computer science. But, you can't migrate from mechanical to computer science if you are in between the course. You can migrate only in the first year of mechanical diploma. If you still want to go for computer science, you have to start from 1st year in computer science if your are in between diploma in mechanical course. Feel free to drop any query related to this or else. We are always ready to help you.
Hope this helps.
All the Best!!

Dear aspirant,
As you told that you are not interested in any branch and considering you don't know the insights of this branch so let me tell you that for non core and higher packages you should go for the ece branch because technically the placements in the ece branch is pretty good as compared to the mechanical branch.
But if you have good grip on mechanics subject or fluid mechanics of thermodynamics and you have a liking for machines then you should go for that. Lastly its totally your call what you want to choose but as per my opinion due to your problems in family you would get a higher pay scale in the ece branch.

This is due to the changing world and demands of people. And there is huge growth in technology.
As our lifestyle has been changed and we all prefer to spend most of our time online, we need every service to be provided online whether it's banking, taking loans, knowing about any particular place, ecommerce and other.
Due to this reason, there are many startup's taking place in market who are working on these aspects. And for working on such feilds, there is huge requirement of knowing how websites work and are made, coding in different languages as per demand and having connectivity as much as possible.
Computer science engineering covers all these concepts including coding, networking, working on websites. The placement are higher in cse departments due to incresing online demands of people.
And most part of mechanical, electrical, chemical and auto are also becoming automated. And automation also requires using skills included in cse subjects.
As a result, there are very less candidates opting for branches like mechanical, electrical, chemical and automobile engineering.
