Mechanical Engineering
Hello,
Yes you can change your branch from Mechanical to Civil branch, it deals with the same subjects i. e. mathematics, calculus, algebra, or basic mechanics and these cannot be more different, but Mechanical branch mostly deals with the designing and manufacturing tools. Moreover you hace to startover from the beginning, so it's my suggestion not to change the branch rather complete the course with exploring and enjoying.
Hope this answer helps you.
Thank you!
Hi,
Hope you are doing well. There is no gender bias regarding Mechanical Engineering. Many girls do Mechanical engineering. This is not a new things. Many girls have got good placements with Mechanical engineering. However, now a days the placement scenario is not that good for core branches like Mech, Civil but that has nothing to do with gender. Most of the reputed companies are gender neutral companies and they take both male and female in campus hiring. The thing that matters in placements is skill not gender. So, if you are interested in learning Mechanical Engineering then you should proceed with it.
I hope this will answer your query.
Thanks!!!!!!

it is difficult to predict the exact rank but according to the marks you have scored it may lie between 4501- 5000 it may vary because it depends on the following factors
1. Level of exam
2. Total no of students appeared in exam
3. Category of candidates
4. Total no of seats

If you want to compare two colleges then you have to consider some of the parameters. The classical and the most important parameter for comparing two colleges are provided below:
See both of the companies you have mentioned are one of the reputed Institutes in India. But if you wish to consider a difference then there is a great difference in terms of placements. IIEST Shibpur didn't have a great placement rate although most of the students get recruited but the salary packages offered are quite low. Compared to that JMI Delhi have a better scope to offer in terms of placement. Also if you go for IIEST Shibpur then as per the reviews the core branch companies are very less so as a result you have to go for IT or CSE companies. It can be uneasy for you so its better if you have no such preferences of subject, then go for JMI Delhi with out any second thought.

After studying Diploma in Mechanical Engineering if you want to go for further education then you have to go for BTech course. Now if you take admission in BTech after your diploma then you get a chance to change your stream as well as you will get admission directly to the 2nd year of BTech program through later entry. So this can be a option. Apart from this you can apply for government job examination such as RRB JE, SSC JE etc or you can also apply for vacancies in private industries as well.
