How many marks do I need to get CSE or mechanical in nit calicut or surathkal without home state quota

To get admission in NIT Calicut, you need to get more than 220 and for NIT Surathkal, you need more than 250 to get admission there.

I have GATE SCORE 525 with 49.65 marks in ME GATE 2017 OBC category. Is COEP is better option? is my score sufficient to get admission?

With this score, you have chances for NITs. So I would suggest you to try for NITs first, if good options are there in NITs otherwise you can consider COEP and to check where all you can get admission, use below Gate college predictor -

VITEEE never provides total mark scored by the student in the result. VITEEE result only provides your rank in the exam.

 

So, mark vs. rank is unpredictable for VITEEE.
