It depends on you only, if you feel all your concepts are clear and you are good in self study then obviously you dont need it.
If you want to get admission in B.tech in NIITs, IIITs and IITs then you will have to give JEE MAIN & ADVANCE exam. And to go for M.tech in same branch you will have to appear in Gate.

It totally depends upon your interest that which branch you want to choose. If we compare both the branches then Mechanical Engineering has better scope than Aerospace engineering
