If you are getting mechanical engineering in Nit Trichi you should definitely go for it.

First of all you must mention your category in which you got 56 percentile score in JEE mains.

Now if you belong to general category or general EWS category or OBC NCL category then sorry, you are not qualified in JEE mains and hence there is no chance

Since you are interested in CS and IT I would recommend you to go for CS as top priority and then consider IT. Both these fields are in demand but the only difference between is that IT deals with application, maintenance, networking and database storage while CS focuses on writing
