you can apply for  low ranking NIT, government engineering colleges. if you have any reservation category then it will help you to get more college options.

NIT campus accepts upto 2lakhs rank. Government college accepts upto 10lakhs. You ave high change to get mechanical engineering as the cutoff rank

see cutoff score changes every year and it depends on certain factors like number of participants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, etc. however according to previous years the cutoff for mtech on thermal power engineering for UR category was 759.

however I suggest you to apply for north east

see cutoff score changes every year and it depends on the questions difficulty level, seat matrix, number of participants etc, however at this score you have less chances in andhra university, you may also apply for vit vellore, vtu, colleges of anna university.
