All it depends on you are interested in which branch. If you are interested in your branch then it would be easy for you to learn the syllabus of gate for that branch. Dont focus on easier branch but your interest then no one can stop you clearing gate exam.

Hi,
Congratulations! You are probably stuck in the college vs course confusion.
IIT Jammu is one of the new IITs, however it is progressing really well, especially it's Mechanical Department. The faculty is impressive, as well as their societies and participation in important competitions have already started in such a short span of time. The course is same as that taught in premier IITs. Being an IIT, you can surely expect good placements, with core companies of the field visiting it. The first batch of students will pass out next year. According to me, you should go for this if you are okay with doing Mechanical Engineering.
Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology is a private institute and you cannot really expect good placements, except for mass recruiting companies who offer average packages. The faculty will also not be as good as an IIT. If you are keen about CSE, you can consider it. It's upto you to decide depending on your priorities like course, location, placements, research opportunities, faculty etc.
All the best!
The TS PGECET takes several factors into consideration while deciding the cutoff
You will not get any good colleges according to the rank. For details see the link below
https://www.sarvgyan.com/articles/ts-pgecet-cut-off
With this rank you might bre able to get admission in NIT Andhra Pradesh but getting Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineeering Branches will be difficult. Even if you are able to get these branches then it will be in the later rounds of counselling. You can also try in the special rounds if you are unable to get these in the first seven rounds. Hope this helps.
Hi Aspirant
According to the previous year statistics these are the cutoff ranks for the given branches.
Please note that these are previous year cut off ranks and might fluctuate over the years.
Branch Cutoff Rank
Computer Science Engineering 30400
Mechanical Engineering 35711
Paint Technology. 48731
Hello,
I would suggest to take admission in VR Siddhartha college it also ranks in top colleges. The main benefit you will get here that you will be in a well developed area. You will have easy access to coaching centres.
Placement of both the colleges are good. And take the branch of your choice else you will regret afterwards.
