Its better than other colleges around vadodara but not the best considering MECHANICAL ENGINEERING. Still if you perform well you might land up getting a good placement. So work hard as the college have good facilties.

IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur,
are almost same if you consider mechanical engineering department.
But still if you want to compare them, Then IIT Delhi has best mechanical engineerin department among all other.
