None of the IIITs provide mechanical stream. IIITs were constituted by the government of India to primarily focus on Information Technology and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Which is why all these institutions offer different combination of courses in these two domains coupled with some specialization in certain cases.

Dear Aspirant,

You will not be able to get the mechanical branch maybe. I will tell you more precisely about it if you comment down your state.

However for the NIT part, you can get into your home state NIT most probably, the branch may not be high as mechanical
