what are the marks or rank required in VITEEE to opt for mechanical engineering with automotive specialisation?

Hello Aryan,

Interestingly, The matter of ranks has come down to the fact-

"Good rank, Less fee.''

 Generally, Phase 1 counseling takes place in Mid May and is for rank up to 20k. Tuition fee is around 1.5 lakh per annum varying for branches. ( around 1.5 lakh for MECH).

Cutoff of anna university is not calculated based on states.

Your cutoff marks is calculated based on 12th agregate marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics.

Your cutoff is calculated as follows

  • convert maths marks to 100
  • convert physics marks to 50
  • convert chemistry marks to 50
  • Add all the marks

According to 2018 cutoffs of NIT Durgapur, you may not get any seat at NIT Durgapur but you can certainly get a seat in few other NITs and IIITs based on your JEE Mains rank.

At IIIT Bhubaneswar, you can get Electrical and electronics engineering. You can also get

(1)Let us start with the acronym. 

BE stands for Bachelor of Engineering

B.TECH stands for Bachelor of Technology

(2)B.TECH course is more practical oriented whereas BE is more influenced in theoritical aspects.

    BE deals with theoritical concepts and principal whereas B.TECH deals with application of these          theoritical concepts.

Congratulation for your result. Analysing the previous years cut off from general category, you have a good chance of getting admission in mechanical in MBM Jodhpur.

Its cut off for mechanical has gone around 115 for mechanical in previous years.

Hello Jaswanth, On the basis of 2018 cutoff for IIT Madras, You need to be rank around 550 at least. Because the 2018 closing rank for mechanical department OBC category candidate was 581 and the opening rank was 269. It cant be said how much marks you should bring because
