As per the previous year trends, the cutoff for mechanical engineering at birla institute of technology, hyderabad, is about the mark range of 290-300 range.

Your score is a bit less.As per the previous year cutoffs you have less chance of getting medium ranked NITs and you can apply for lower ranked NITs such as NIT Andhra Pradesh, NIT Durgapur, NIT Hamirpur,etc.You can apply for state government Colleges.You can check for Colleges on

JEC has a large intake of students so 1076 rank is good enough to get an admission in it. But getting mechanical branch might be tough. Still you have a good chance of getting mechanical branch in this college.
