I am getting 55.33 marks in GATE 2019 in MECHANICAL SET-2. I graduated in the year 2017.Can I get interview call for MS-R from older IITs?

Based on your gate score you can get 

IITs like-madras

NITs like-jaipur, calicut,  bhopal, surat, patna , silchar, agartalla, trichy

You can also get IIIT Jabalpur , COE pune.

You have low chances for DTU, ISM dhanbad

Hello Krish,
With this marks, your chance of getting call from any PSU is very less. But you can apply for PSU. For get admission in IITs, your marks should be more than 75+.
But you may get chance in some IITs.
You can join top NITs with this marks.

I think, you worked very hard in this attempt and this is quit good figure/marks.
You have to try next time with a hard work.
With this marks, you would get admission in NITs.

Mechanical is one of the base branches of engineering... It is very hard core branch.. Production engineering is a more lighter version of the mechanical engineering with more onus on the softer aspects.
Although production engineering and mechanical engineering come under engineering, both are entirely different.

According to the score,As you are from ST category,the chances of getting into a good IIT is high and you may get a job in PSU.It depends on the 2019 Cut-off.

Even if you won't get a PSU , Definitely you will get a Good IIT.
