see apart from aerospace engineering, you could look at aeronautical engineering offered I think by Manipal University, SRM to name some. You could apply to IISt - they have avionics too. However admissions to IIST is through JEE Advanced.

If you don't understand computer science. You should probably go for mechatronic subject. As Mechatronic engineering has a very wide field. 

There is nothing to be afraid to become Mechatronic engineer - as Mechatronics basically consists 70% mechanical and 30% electronics.
