Im from general category and I got 80.5 can I get admission in Ba English hons or ba journalism

shruti bansal 23rd Jun, 2019

HELLO SRISHTI,

So it’s nice that you 80% marks in your 12 th board exam and first of all congratulations.

Secondly if you want to take admission in DELHI UNIVERSITY. so as you know very well that general students it is quite difficult to get admission in journalism or English hons but one more thing want to ask that in your best four exams you got 80% or it is your overall % as if it is your overall % then it is quite difficult for you to get but if in best four so get admission.

B.A. English Honours is a 3- year undergraduate course, minimum eligibility for which is a 10+2 or intermediate qualification. Successful pursuance of the course prepares candidates for careers in fields such as teaching, media, advertising, writing, and publishing, for further graduate or professional studies in English, communications, or law; and for other fields requiring competent communication skills. Top Institutes offering B.A. (Hons) English are:

· Lady Shri Ram College for Women, New Delhi

· Christ University, Bangalore

· Presidency College, Kolkata

· Jesus and Mary College, New Delhi

Thanks

Ranjot Singh Student Expert 1st Aug, 2019

Dear student, Delhi University does not restrict in student from changing his course in the mid of admission process. The only requirement is that you must have chosen the course you want to shift to  in your registration form. Meeting this requirement along with the cut off, you can definitely change to BA programme in the same college.
