Hello Jaya,
If you h ave scored 74% from Medical, you may not be able to get an admission in Journalism UG Course from LSR, as cut-offs are far higher, and you would be at a disagvantage of 2.5% for changing your stream to Humanities.
I suggest you appear for the Journalism Entrance, or try for other colleges and universities. If you have appeared for IPU's Journalism, that would surely benefit you!
I hope this was helpful!

Banasthali Vidyapeeth would be a good choice if you ask me, as the accessibility to media resources would be better here than Doon Business School, and you won't have to go far for internships or jobs, as Rajasthan is a great cultural attraction and thus beneficial for the media. Also, Banasthali is reputed too.
Hello Shweta, No, there is no separate exam for B.A in a journalism course. The admission is strictly merit-based. The merit list is decided on the basis of 12th board marks. You need to apply for DU and then when the cutoff of all the colleges are released, you need to apply for the specific colleges by submitting your best of 4 marks.

In Media and Journalism getting a job has became a tough nut to crack. Universities are just a platform where you can enhance and get yourself launched in the field but the real thing depends upon your talent.
So, for job you must first try for internships. Be it a paid or unpaid internship, just apply for it and gain experience of working. Try to build up your media page and develop it parallely. This will give a plus point to your CV.
All the best!
