What are the scope if I do B. A English hons and diploma in journalism and mass media communication. What can I pursue for masters.

Raji_49 Student Expert 20th Jul, 2019

Hi Krithika,

It shows that you are planning your future  very well. After completing your bachelors degree in English and doing diploma in journalism and mass media communication, you can do your masters in M.A Journalism and Mass media communication. In order to do M.A in this field a candidate must contain a bachelors degree in any stream and a pass percentage of 50% at least. You having a diploma degree in the same field you have good chances of shining in this field and gain more experience in this stream.

Colleges for doing M.A in journalism and mass media communication,

SHARDA UNIVERSITY

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MASS COMMUNICATION

MAHATMA GANDHI MISSION COLLEGE OF JOUNALISM AND MASS COMMUNICATION

SYMBIOSIS INSTITUTE OF MEDIA AND COMMUNICATION

Hope this helps

All the best

If Im getting a option to choose between Dyal Singh College course eng hons and St Xaviers Ranchi course journalism what should I choose

Anik Das 18th Jul, 2019

Hello Harshita, both are excellent colleges for the courses you have mentioned.

please check out the following link for detailed info on the colleges

https://www.careers360.com/colleges/st-xaviers-college-ranchi

https://www.careers360.com/colleges/dyal-singh-college-new-delhi

However Journalism and english hons are totally different streams of study, you can also pursue each other by being in separate streams. however journalism is a totally professional course and would lead to a career in journalism and media and through eng hons you can join academia, and many other diverse career options including journalism by taking up a diploma later. However choose whatever you feel you are inclined to. Journalism being a professional course has better employability options just after graduation.

S. Saha Student Expert 17th Jul, 2019
The admission-seekers of the five-year integrated law programme will be offered 360 seats via PU BA LLB 2019.
By appearing in PU BA LLB 2019, you will get to reserve a seat for yourself in one of the three participating institutes namely - University Institute of Legal Studies, University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Centre, Bajwara and University Institute of Laws, Panjab University Regional Centre, Civil Lines.

So, you have less chances to get seat into PU.
