my neet score is 155 ..bc category...what should i opt for all india counselling or tn medical counselling. .?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 25th Oct, 2020

The cut off for OBC Category for NEET 2020 is 146-113. This applies to all those courses that take admission through NEET score. With a score of 155, unfortunately you might not be able to secure a seat even in a Private College. But to answer your question, because you scored NEET cut off, you can participate in both All India and State Counsellings. But if you have decided about studying Medicine, you have to reappear for NEET in 2021 and score real good. That will be the only option because with this score, you cannot even get Private Medical Colleges. So you may have to consider appearing for NEET 2021. If you want to reappear for NEET 2021, you can prepare with the help of our NEET Knockout package: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/

can we do medical counselling from two states simultaneously??

vishesh kumar 12th Oct, 2020

Hi,

Yes you can go for as two or more states counselling at the same time. There are many states which are open states i.e. which allows other state candidates to take admissions into their private colleges. You won't be able to take part in other state's government college counselling. The states such as Karnataka, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, Haryana etc.

if I participate in medical counselling and get a govt. seat but i said no for it and go for 2nd round for a hope for upper college but dont get any seat then can i get a govt. seat ?

Apoorva Student Expert 29th Sep, 2020

Hello dear student,

In first round if if you get a seat and you are not comfortable with that there is a free exit in first round of counselling for Neet you will automatically get seat in second round of counselling while there is no such provision in second round of counselling then you have to take the seat whichever will be allotted to you. if you think on first round of counselling that you can get a better seat in a better medical college then you can choose for free exit from first round of counselling.

Thank you

can a tamilnadu student apply for goa medical counselling?

Maddula Varshini 17th Sep, 2020

Hello Dear,

Yes, you can apply for Goa Medical counselling. But one thing you should remember is you should get more marks in your NEET do do so. Because for AIQ(All India Quota) candidates there are only limited number of seats provided.Around  80% for State quota and 20% for AIQ. So better have good marks.

To predict your college you can go through this link: https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Hope this helps you.

hello im already wrote kcet exam so I hope ill get better college for engineering in the counselling but im also attending the neet exam so that I got a college in kcet counselling but I also cleared neet can I leave that engineering college and move upon with medical counselling....?

Hrisheekesh Singh 10th Aug, 2020

Hi Jaya,

Yes, it's completely your choice that you want to pursue Medical or Engineering. If you got an engineering college through KCET counselling, and then, you got a better college for medical through NEET and you are wishing to pursue Medical in that college, so, you can leave engineering easily. There is clearly no problem in that. Right to choose is in your hand.

Feel free to ask doubts in the Comment Section.

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!

my son is going to appear neet 2020.his native town is naihati under kolkata jurisdiction bt he completed 10 and 12 from delhi. can he get a chance to appear in medical counselling both the state delhi and wb for state medical quota?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 28th Jun, 2020
Hello

Yes, your son is eligible for both West Bengal State quota and Delhi State quota.

This is because,

Your son has  completed his 10 + 2 from Delhi and anyone who is completed his or her  10 + 2 from Delhi is eligible for Delhi state quota

For West Bengal State quota , anyone who is domicile of West Bengal is eligible for state quota so your son being a domicile of West Bengal is eligible for West Bengal State quota
